Finances

Financial Year
The Financial year of the Association shall run from 1 January through 31 December.

Income
The Association shall derive its income from membership fees, donations, grants legacies, loans, trading and any other operations compatible with the principles of scouting and the laws of Ethiopia.

Property
The Association may acquire and dispose of property in accordance with this constitution and the laws of Ethiopia

Budget
A budget for each financial year shall be prepared by the National Treasurer and passed by the Board Which shall Submit it to the National council for approval.

Bank Accounts
All funds shall be deposited in bank accounts in the name of the Association payment from these accounts shall require the signatures of at lease two persons appointed by the Board at National level, by the regional council at regional level and by the district council at wareda level.

Audited Accounts
Accounts showing income and expenditure statements and balance sheet shall be prepared annually not later than three months after the end of the financial year and shall be presented together with the Auditor’s report to the council for adoption.

District
District Scout councils shall be financially independent, raising and managing their own funds, but shall send copies of their audited annual accounts to the secretariat not later than 3 months after the end the financial year.
