ETHIOPIA SCOUT ASSOCIATION
INTERPRETATION

The term’ Association” refers to the Ethiopia Scout Association.
Scout” with no more specification means: the young people member of
the association.
A “member” refers to any person, male or female and who has been register as a
Member of the association and has taken the Scout promise.
Ethchu” Scout” refers to anyone who is on a pre-investiture stage getting ready for
The promise ceremony. “Tadagi” scout (Cub Scout) refers to those young people
Whose ages are 7 to 11/12 years old and who have been invested.
Medebegna” Scout refers to those young people whose age is 11/12 to 15/17 years
And who have made the Scout promise.
wotat Scout” Refer to those young people whose age is 15/17 to 18/19 years and
Who have made the scout promise.

Awaki’ scout” refers to those young people whose age is 18/19 to 25 years
And who have made the Scout promise.
Golmassa “Scouts “refers to Young Adults whose is age 25 to is 30 years
Getting ready for leadership in the association, having made the Scout promise.
Yekibir Abal” (honorary Member) refers to an Adult who does not belong to the
Scout Association but for his/her skill or experience in some fields, is asked by
The Association to participate in some special programmers, or a person from the
Governmental body invited as a Honorary ex-officio member at any leadership level
The color of the uniform of the Association shall be green. All other aspects related
To uniform and scouts programmed shall be dealt with in the Youth programmed
Document that will be adopted by the National scout council.
