Membership


Qualification
Membership of the Association is open, without any discrimination to all people living in Ethiopia who agree conform with the purpose, principles and method of the Scout Movement and pay members fee as determined by the National Council.

Categories
The Shall be there categories of members:-
a) Young people who have taken the scout or cub scout promise and belong to the following age groups constituting the youth membership of the association:
Tadagi Scouts (cub Scouts) aged 7 to 11/12 years
Medebegha Scouts (Junior Scouts) aged 11/12 to 15/17 years
wotat Socuts (venture Scouts) aged 15/17 to 18/19 years
Awaki Scouts (Rover Scots) aged 18/19 to 25 years

when a Rover scout leaves the crew after completing his/her 25 year of age he/she can train to be a Scout leader and takes the name of “ Golmassa”

b) Adult leaders who are at least 18 years old, who actively participate in the education of young people as unit leaders or indirectly in the management of the Association at group, district or national level.
The are registered by the Association and have taken the Scout’s the Scout Movement

Mutual agreement
All leadership positions at all levels, except that the of the patron, shall be governed by mutual agreements between the individual adult Scout leader and the Association leaders depending on the level concerned, in accordance with Word Adult Resources Policy for the time being in force.
