Election and Composition

The Audit Commission shall consist of three (3) members elected by the council for a term of three (3) years which may be renewable for only further consecutive term. Members of the Audit Commission shall not hold any other office at the national Scout level.

Functions

The Audit Commission shall carry out financial and value for money audits of the Association and report to the Board in the first instance. Report of the Audit Commission shall be tabled at council meetings together with the Board’s reaction to them. The existence of the Audit commission shall not prevent the Association from appointing independent external auditors.
