The mission of Scouting

The mission of scouting is to contribute to the education of the young people through a value system based on the scout promise and scout law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in the society.
This achieved by:-
- Involving them throughout their formative years in a non-formal educational process.
- Using a specific method that makes each individual the principle agent in his or her development as a self-reliant supportive responsible and committed person.
- Assisting them to establish a value system based upon spiritual, social and personal principles as expressed in the promise and low.

Ethiopia Scout Association draws a development plan.
Ethiopia scout association received the certificate symbolizing the return to the world scout brothers-hood at the Greece world conference.
This is the crowning of 10 years effort by FrRenzo Mancin the chief scout of Ethiopia, commissioner and other members of ESA who worked tirelessly to get the association recognized again at the world level.
Soon after recognition by WOSM in Greece, with the support of the Africa regional office, the Ethiopia scout organized a number of training courses in the past and conducted recruitment drives and public relation activities Presently there are 3650 scouts.
This multipurpose seminar, the first to be held since the recognition by WOSM, was meant to give Ethiopia an opportunity to analyze the situation and.,…….
